Maison Versatile website (the "Site")

These terms apply to your use of the Site, available at https://maisonversatile.com, and to orders placed through it. By using the Site or placing an order, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. Who provides the Site

The Site is provided by Maison Versatile Ltd ("we", "us"). Our full details are in the Legal Notice.

2. What the Site is

The Site presents Maison Versatile's games, their rules and our news. It also lets you order our games when they are on sale.

• Browsing the Site is free and needs no account. It shows no advertising.
• The rulebooks you can download are for your own use with the game.

3. Using the Site

You agree to use the Site only for its intended purpose, and not to:

• disrupt, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its payment pages or its servers;
• place orders under someone else's name or with false details;
• copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the Site, its content or its artwork, except as the law expressly allows or as permitted by the open-source licences listed in the Legal Notice.

We may limit or block access, or cancel an order, in case of abuse.

4. Preorders and purchases

4.1 Products and prices. Games on sale are shown with their price in Mauritian rupees (Rs). The price that applies is the one shown on the payment page when you confirm your order. Quantities per order may be limited.

4.2 Preorders. Some games are offered for preorder before they are released. The release date is shown on the game's page; while it says "Coming Soon", no date is promised. We will keep you informed by email of the release date and of any delay.

4.3 Placing an order. Add games to your cart, then tap "Checkout". Our payment pages show a summary of your order, ask for your contact details and delivery choice, and give you a unique payment reference. Your order is placed when you confirm it there. You receive a confirmation by email.

4.4 Payment. You pay by bank transfer (for example with the MCB Juice app or your internet banking), using the payment reference you were given, then upload your proof of payment. We never ask for your card or bank details. Your order is confirmed once we have received your payment and checked it. An unpaid order may be cancelled.

4.5 Stock. Our stock is limited. If a game runs out before your order is placed, the Site will tell you. If, exceptionally, we can't supply a game you have already paid for, we will tell you and refund you in full.

4.6 Delivery. You can choose:

• Collection from one of our pickup points (currently Bagatelle, Plaza and Beau Bassin), free of charge; or
• Postal delivery in Mauritius to the address you give, free of charge.

We tell you by email when your order is ready to collect or has been sent. For preorders, orders are prepared once the game is released.

4.7 Cancellation and refunds. You may cancel a preorder at any time before it is sent or ready to collect by writing to [email protected], and we will refund you in full by bank transfer within 14 days.

4.8 Faulty or damaged games. If a game arrives damaged, faulty or incomplete, contact us at [email protected] with a photo within 3 days of receipt and we will replace the game, or refund you.

5. Intellectual property

Our games, their names, rules, rulebooks, illustrations, photographs, icons, logos and texts, and the Site itself, belong to Maison Versatile or its licensors. They are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Using the Site gives you no rights over them.

Some parts of the Site are open-source software, used under their own licences, which are listed in the Legal Notice.

6. Availability

We try to keep the Site available and working, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or stop the Site, or any feature of it, at any time. This does not affect orders already confirmed.

7. Liability

The information on the Site is provided "as is", to the extent permitted by law. We take care over it, but an error in a description or a price may happen; if it affects your order, we will contact you before going further.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect loss, or for any loss arising from the Site being unavailable. For an order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law, including under the law of your country of residence, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the Site changes. We'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you on the Site. An order is governed by the terms in force on the day it was placed.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, and disputes will be brought before the courts of Mauritius.

• If you are a consumer living in the European Union (including Réunion), you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you may bring a claim before its courts.
• Before going to court, please contact us: most problems can be solved quickly.
